Roman Vaňek - Pražská kuchařka

Roman Vaňek – Pražská kuchařka

So far, the most extensive publication by the author of the kitchen bestseller Romana Vanka from the Prague Culinary Institute workshop. Almost 700 pages, 700 photos of Tomas Beran's leading Czech photographer, 90 stories, 50 restaurant recipes, including menus of important state visits and food recipes from Prague Castle offer this book for the first time to the general public.

By capturing an imaginary fraction of time, this "cookbook" of photographs, stories, and recipes should show the present broad surroundings to those who come to us how people worked at a certain time, how they thought what they were doing. It should show in decades that even at the time of its birth (born three years) there lived people who did not fall into the lap, but had to take risks and to make enormous efforts. Still, they loved their work without all the pathos, and what was more, they were naturally proud of it.

My driving engine was the desire to write a long, timeless book, a sequence of stories in which the logic of sorting individual chapters is irrelevant, and it does not matter if one or the other still works in the same place or left to try happiness elsewhere. I wanted this book - and this time it was not just a pure cook - could be opened at any place and started with individual stories or just dreaming about the photographs. Then have the opportunity to see if you can try the recipes listed in it.
